A workforce that should grow at Mirabel

Airbus hopes to assemble 14 aircraft per month by 2025 in Mobile, Alabama, and Mirabel, compared to five aircraft currently. The ramp-up is expected to be accompanied by hiring. We will eventually pass the 3,000 mark," said Airbus Canada CEO Benoit Schultz, referring to Mirabel.

Local 712 was founded in 1940 by workers from the Canadian Vickers Corp of Montreal. Attached to District 11, which brings together the Quebec members of IAMAW, the industrial and freight transport sectors, it is today composed of the following 9 units: Airbus, Aramark, Bombardier, Clean International, Compass, CPS, L3Harris, Stellia and Tékalia.
